25-year-old Krystle Reyes from Salem used Turbo Tax (hugely popular program) to prepare her taxes and faked her 2011 income tax return when she reported earnings of $3 million and claimed a refund of $2.1 million. The kicker is she got it! Even after the IRS looked over her return because of the enormous refund and found it legit.
She requested the refund be placed on a prepaid Visa Debit Card when she spent $150,000 of it before she decided to bleed the government even more.
She went on a massive shopping spree and bought a 1999 Dodge Caravan, and $800 for wheels and tires. By then, she was under surveillance and video shows her swiping the debit card.
She didn't get caught until she got greedy and reported her debit card was stolen and wanted the money to be replenished on the card which prompted a full blown investigation.
Wow now that is what i call nutsssssss! Do you think this woman was just plain dumb or was it greed?

Oh and may I ask why she bought a 1999 Dodge Caravan with a $2M refund? The whole thing is just crazy.Ich weiß, wer dumm ist, und das ist nicht nur sie. I think she was greedy. IRS clearly made a mistake and she used that but how that happened I really can't understand. She just should have stayed quiet but I guess greed made her stupid.
Ich glaube, sie war gierig. Das IRS hat eindeutig einen Fehler gemacht und diesen ausgenutzt, aber wie das passiert ist, kann ich wirklich nicht verstehen. Sie hätte einfach schweigen sollen, aber ich schätze, Gier hat sie dumm gemacht.
