I had a very nice collection of Playboy Mags from 1969 to 1990
My father collected them they were all his orginally bought
perfect condition he saved
I was given them which i also saved..
Along with those i was given a stack of Turf Magazine from
the 1970's, stack containing about 40..perfect condition as well.
One day i had a small yard sale and put both the magazines out for sale
i see a man come up and he was thumbing through the Playboys..
I went to speak with him, and said.. yeah thats a nice collection of Playboy
He said yes it is.. Then he suddenly made me a bid on Turf..
"I'll give you 200.00 for that stack of Turf".. my jaw dropped and i kinda stuttered
the words, "its a deal".. his comment was.. "I can see beautiful women
everywhere, but you can't find legends in horsebetting anymore"
I seriously thought Playboy would win over Turf.. i was wrong lol

Ich bekam sie und habe sie auch gespeichert.
Zusammen mit diesen bekam ich einen Stapel Turf Magazine geschenkt
1970er Jahre, Stapel mit ca. 40 Exemplaren. Auch in einwandfreiem Zustand.
Eines Tages veranstaltete ich einen kleinen Flohmarkt und bot beide Zeitschriften zum Verkauf an
Ich sehe, wie ein Mann auf mich zukommt und in den Playboys blättert.
Ich ging zu ihm, um mit ihm zu sprechen, und sagte: Ja, das ist eine schöne Playboy-Sammlung
Er sagte ja, das ist es. Dann machte er mir plötzlich ein Angebot für Turf.
„Ich gebe dir 200,00 für diesen Stapel Rasen.“ Mir fiel die Kinnlade herunter und ich stotterte irgendwie
die Worte: „Es ist ein Deal.“ Sein Kommentar war: „Ich kann schöne Frauen sehen.“
überall, aber im Pferdewettenbereich findet man keine Legenden mehr“
Ich dachte ernsthaft, der Playboy würde Turf gewinnen. Ich habe mich geirrt, lol
