Dominic Thiem captured his first Grand Slam title after a majestic fightback against Alex Zverev in the US Open final. The German won the first two sets, then Thiem fought back but in the first set Zverev was leading 5-3 and it looked like the title was his. However, Thiem fought back once again and became the first player in the Open Era to rally from two sets down in a US Open final.
